When will Dholera International Airport be opened? Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi gave important information

Ahmedabad already has domestic and international airport terminals, and the third airport will be established at Dholera. Alongside the airport, a high-speed rail facility connecting Dholera to Ahmedabad is also under development. Once completed, travel from Dholera to Ahmedabad is expected to take just 40–50 minutes.

Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi shared that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a world-class, state-of-the-art Dholera International Airport is close to realization. The airport, located approximately 90 kilometers from Ahmedabad, has been under construction for several years and is nearing completion.

The runway has been completed, and the cargo facilities at the airport are expected to become operational within the next two months. These developments are part of broader infrastructure upgrades, including traffic management improvements, international-standard sports complexes, and high-speed connectivity, especially in preparation for large events like the Commonwealth Games.
