Gujarat CM visits Dholera SIR to monitor progress of ongoing infra development works

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel visited the site and monitored ongoing infrastructure projects in the 22.54 sq km Phase-1 activation area. More than 95% of the work in Phase-1 has been completed, opening new opportunities for global investments in Dholera.

Dholera SIR spans 22 villages in Dholera taluka of Ahmedabad district, covering a total area of 920 sq km. The city offers world-class infrastructure, including a 72 km internal road network with a dedicated underground service corridor and 150 MLD water supply, while providing skilled and semi-skilled employment opportunities.

During a high-level review, the Chief Minister was briefed on Dholera’s ultra-modern infrastructure and its potential in sectors such as Defense and aerospace, Engineering, Auto and auto ancillaries, Pharmaceuticals, Agro and food processing, Renewable Energy, IT, Electronics, and emerging industries like semiconductors, display facilities, and green hydrogen.

The importance of Dholera SIR as a cluster development for the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor was also highlighted. The National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC) is actively implementing these projects to strengthen India’s industrial ecosystem.

Dholera Industrial Smart City will contribute to sustainable development through next-generation infrastructure technology, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed India@2047 and a self-reliant India.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel provided guidance to expedite the establishment of world-class industries in Dholera SIR. Senior officials present included Chief Secretary Rajkumar, Chief Principal Secretary to CM Kailashanathan, Advisor SS Rathore, Additional Chief Secretary Pankaj Joshi, CEO of Dholera SIR Supreet Gulati, and other senior secretaries.
